The redesigned sixth-generation 2025 Subaru Forster made its public debut Thursday at the 2023 Los Angeles auto show with revised styling, updated infotainment and driver-assist technology, and the promise of a first-ever hybrid model. The new styling is a big departure from the previous-generation Forester, incorporating a prominent grille that blends into the headlights, as well as more pronounced wheel arches. Exterior dimensions are essentially unchanged. The 2025 Forester is 0.6 inch longer than the outgoing model, but has the same 105.1-inch wheelbase. The width and height are nearly identical. The 2025 Forester is based on the Subaru Global Platform…

The 2024 Ford F-150 Tremor doesn’t need orange trim to stand out. It’s noticeably higher than the typical F-150, but you don’t really appreciate the extra inch or so until you climb into the cabin. The meaty all-terrain tires on black wheels go well with the silver exterior of the Tremor I’ll be driving for a week, and there’s no denying a slight feeling of superiority sitting behind the wheel. This truck sits up there. It’s also priced up there. The 2024 F-150 Tremor starts at $66,345, but the Iconic Silver truck sitting in my driveway is a whopping $81,865.…

The 2024 Geneva auto show is currently underway in Switzerland, and Fiat used the event to present five concept cars previewing an expanded next-generation Panda family. The Panda is a minicar whose current generation has been in production since 2011. Currently, the lineup includes only the basic hatchback and a more rugged, high-riding version known as the Panda Cross. For the next-generation Panda, Fiat is looking at additional body styles to join the traditional hatch, including a pickup, camper van, SUV, and coupe-like crossover. The concepts are all based on a common platform sourced from parent company Stellantis and have…

Cadillac nailed the luxury and design aspects with the Lyriq The Lyriq’s lacking in the efficiency department GM needs to fix its iOS app to be quicker The electric era seems to be Cadillac’s time to rise from the ashes and shine. The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq expanded the EV’s lineup, bookending the Luxury grade with Tech and Sport grades. My week with a nicely equipped Sport model served to remind us that Cadillac’s on the road back to greatness with stunning design presence, easy-to-use controls, and solid build quality. It’s not notably efficient, though, and the packaging is baffling, and…

McLaren on Monday unveiled the convertible counterpart to the Artura coupe. The new Artura Spider arrives as a 2025 model and is already available to order for delivery this summer. Prices in the U.S. start at $273,800. The Artura is McLaren’s plug-in hybrid supercar equipped with a V-6 engine as its internal-combustion component, specifically a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V-6 that for 2025 models pumps out 596 hp on its own. An electric motor adds 94 hp, bringing the total to 690 hp. That’s 19 hp more than when the Artura was launched, and McLaren said the upgrade will be made available…

I’ve never really taken the Lamborghini Urus seriously. It has the flashy looks to back up the badge, sure, but with an engine and chassis borrowed from Volkswagen Group and an interior clad in Audi switchgear, the original Urus could never evoke the same passion as Lamborghini’s low-slung, high-revving sports cars.  That thinking changes with the Urus SE, the SUV’s first hybrid variant. New for 2025, the SE (pronounced ess-ay) brings a host of visual improvements and, most importantly, a revamped all-wheel drive system to supplement the extra torque provided by a single electric motor mounted between the V-8 and…

Stellantis’s CEO recently blamed Maserati’s poor performance on bad marketing. “If sales are sluggish right now, it is a matter of marketing.” And sales are, indeed, sluggish; The company only sold about 6,500 units between January and June of this year, which marks a 50-percent decrease over the previous year. But that doesn’t tell the whole story. History says that Maserati isn’t shy about spending to woo customers. In 2014, the automaker dished out a cool $11 million on a well-received Ghibli Super Bowl spot entitled, “Now, We Strike.” Another $5 million in ad spending was distributed elsewhere throughout the…

Two-and-a-half tons shouldn’t move like this. But the 2025 Aston Martin DBX707 just keeps snaking through tight and twisty Napa Valley roads like a smaller sport sedan. The DBX707’s dance moves aren’t entirely new, and neither is its monstrous 697 hp, but both represent refinements for the ultraluxury SUV that first debuted for the 2021 model year. The agility I’m feeling comes by way of new tuning for an already advanced chassis, while the 697 hp is now the only choice for buyers as the 542-hp option goes away for 2025. For good measure, Aston Martin also gives its sporty…
